Vintage Seltzer Bottle marked "International Soda Water - Toronto". A unique piece of Toronto history to add to your bar - we've never seen one like it! This now defunct Soda Water distributer was based in Toronto and operated during the 1920's. The logo features a Star of David and we found mention of the company in the Ontario Jewish archives in a directory of Jewish owned and operated businesses from 1925.
The logo also says "Telephone Trinity, 2218 J." referring to the telephone exchange names used as in Toronto up until the 1950's.
At the bottom of the logo it mentions the British Syphon Co. Ltd. London, which we believe refers to the origin of the mechanism used for the dispenser.
In good vintage condition, this decanter has no cracks or chips but does have light scratches as expected for its age. The mechanism appears to be in good condition but we recommended that you keep this bottle for display and do not attempt to open it to fill, as the mechanism is fragile. The glass is extremely sturdy and thick with a heavy base.
