Returns of Items Purchased OnlineÂ
We want you to be totally satisfied with your purchase and we understand that you may purchase, or receive an item as a gift, and find it's just not right for you.Â
If that's the case, we are pleased to offer exchange, store credit, or a refund on unused, re-saleable products in the original packaging within 30 days of purchase. Â
Exceptions:Â Â
- Any products that are non-stocked and custom ordered from a supplier such as Dash and Albert rugs, Adama vinyl mats, Art Prints and antiques are subject to a 25% restocking fee for all returns.Â
- Sale items or discounted items can not be refunded, returned or exchanged. They are final sale.Â
Please contact us at hello@homesmithhouse.com to confirm your item is eligible for a return and we will send you the shipping label to affix to your shipment. Your shipment must be returned in the same box it was delivered in as the shipping labels are specific to that package size and weight. Â

Please include a copy of your proof of purchase or your order number and information. You will be responsible for paying all shipping costs associated with the return of your item. For International customers, this could include additional import/export fees.
If you are shipping an item over $75, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Please pack your item carefully as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your package in good condition. Only products returned to us in original packaging, unused and saleable condition are eligible for return.Â
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you that we have received your returned item and whether the item has been approved for return. If approved, your refund or store credit will be processed and we will send a confirmation by email. Please allow 3 to 5 days for the return to be processed through to your method of payment.
As a small business, we incur non-refundable payment processing fees for every order and as a result, any refunds are subject to a 5% cancellation fee to cover the non-refundable expenses incurred. This fee is only applicable for cash refunds and is not applied to store credit refunds.Â
Cancellation Of Online Orders
We understand that online ordering accidents happen and minds can change. You can cancel your order within 24 hours if it has not already shipped. Please call us at 416-484-3702 to ensure your order is cancelled. Â

Returns of Items Purchased In-Store
Items may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 14 days of purchase. In order to process your return, we require the original receipt or proof of purchase. In order to be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition as you received it, and in the original packaging. The item must be in re-saleable condition.Â
We do not offer refunds on in-store purchases.
All discounted or sale items are final purchase and not eligible for return or exchange.Â
