This historical, watercolour sketch of a Demoiselle Crane is by Edward Lear.
Famous for the "Owl and the Pussycat" and other nonsense verse in the 19th century, Edward Lear was also an ornithologist and watercolour artist.
These unusual and colourful bird & parrot sketches come directly from his sketchbook. Writing and colour notations add a fun, unusual element.
Each is classically framed in a fine, gold gilt frame.
Outside Frame Dimensions: 25" x 37" and 17" x 25"
