Luxurious calm and natural harmony are reflected in the expansive design of this gorgeous and refined hand-knotted wool rug. Fleece tufted stripes in Ivory create corded, ribby fields. Interwoven with low, undyed Taupe boundary lines and juxtaposed with high contrast raised bands of naturally coloured mélange charcoal. A natural braided Taupe fringe adds a bohemian air of whimsy. This beautifully simple rug will create a striking foundation for architectural and modern spaces. Designed for us by Marie Flanigan, an award-winning interior designer, to reflect her signature style of timeless elegance and innovative simplicity.
- FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction; plush feel; eye-catching, unusual weave. Because the weave lies in a single direction and is not apt to pull, hand-knotted rugs can appear lighter from one angle than the other - an optical illusion that is part of their appeal.
-
WHERE TO USE: Area rugs that are perfect for "center stage" rooms like the living room, dining room, or master bedroom.
- HOW IT'S MADE: Cotton and wool are first knotted and then sheared by hand, which creates a plush feel, unique mottled appearance, and excellent durability.
- CARE: Regular vacuuming and the occasional gentle shake will keep these rugs looking their best. Some shedding may occur with all hand-knotted rugs. Use a low setting when vacuuming to minimize shedding If shedding still occurs, professional cleaning can help remove loose fibres. For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.
