Introducing Alchemy by Fusion, a new paint formula that brings together a blend of Acrylic, Limestone and Chalk. Alchemy offers Fusion's high-performance resin for exceptional durability, Milk Paint's rich pigmentation and natural adhesion for effortless application, and the soft flat finish of a classic chalk-style paint - all in one easy-to-use formula.
White Oak is an antique off-white perfectly balanced with yellow and grey undertones for a weathered and timeless look.
Compared to other Chalk-style paints, this unique formulation means stronger durability, deeper colour, and a smooth, forgiving application that requires no topcoat for most pieces.
If you are painting a high-traffic surface or want to increase the sheen, a topcoat is always recommended. Want to enhance the look? Add a tinted wax for depth, a glaze for dimension - the choice is yours.
Step 1: Prep
Clean your surface to remove dust, grease, or residues.
Step 2: Paint
Apply 1-2 coats of Alchemy. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next. Some vibrant hues will need additional coats for full coverage.
Step 3: Finish
Alchemy does not require a topcoat, but it is recommended for areas prone to water or heavy use. Choose from a wide variety of top coats offered by Fusion. Such as clear or coloured waxes, water-based acrylic or water-based polyurethanes are offered in various sheens.
- Furniture Wax for a soft, chalky finish is a great option and so easy to apply compared to other Chalk type paints! Tip: Buff with an applicator pad or natural bristle brush for a classic waxed look with ease!
Leave it to our friends at Homestead House to come up with a brilliant new paint that combines the durability of Mineral Paint with the incredible finish and artistic versatility of Milk Paint. Alchemy by Fusion is a unique blend of acrylic, limestone and chalk that is stronger than traditional chalk paints due to Fusion's high quality resin.
There are many reasons to love Alchemy, but here are the highlights!
- deep rich pigmentation
- smooth forgiving application with minimal brush strokes
- greater creative flexibility - it's ideal for blending, distressing and layering to achieve a variety of looks
- customizable finishes - Alchemy is slightly more porous than Fusion Mineral Paint meaning a topcoat is optional but recommended for high traffic areas.
