These 10m (32.75') long strings of cluster lights features a tiny "fairy light" type of LED that pops off the main string.  This allows the lights, when they are wrapped around something, not to appear so linear.   You'll get a more natural effect with the lights with a minimal amount of work - and who doesn't need that right around the holidays?
